		<description>Thank you Tom. I think you are correct. Other possibilities are Scilla hyacinthoides or S.natalensis.  Next year I will be aware of them, and take careful notes so that I can confirm it. I spread the smaller bulbs around the garden so I should be able to get a better idea of its characteristics.</description>

		<description>From what I can see, your mystery bulb looks like Scilla peruviana !  I suspect the bloom tip was damaged by cold weather.</description>
